The terms under which Rippex Card Vault designs, 3D-prints and sells made-to-order protection for trading cards: bumpers for graded slabs and magnetic holders, holder-and-bumper pairs, and inserts, printed in-house to the Customer's chosen design.
For these Terms:
MADE. is protection designed by the Customer and printed by RCV. Every Piece is 3D-printed in-house, to order, from the Customer's Design: nothing is picked from a shelf, and no two orders need be alike.
Because every Piece is made to the Customer's specification, an Order is a contract for made-to-order goods. That is why section 9 (Cancellation & Cooling-Off) works the way it does, and the Customer is told so before paying.
Orders are placed through the MADE. store. The price of each Piece, any size-based addition, any custom-colour addition, and the delivery charge are all shown before payment, and every price shown includes VAT.
Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering, securely by Stripe. RCV does not see or store card details. Prices are calculated by RCV's own systems from its current price list at the moment of checkout; the figure presented on the payment screen is the figure charged.
An Order is accepted when payment settles and RCV sends the order confirmation email. If payment does not settle in full, no contract is formed and nothing is printed.
A single-colour Piece is the listed price. Any part printed in a colour different from the body adds the custom-colour charge shown in the studio, once per Piece it is applied to.
The Design is the Customer's. RCV prints what was chosen: the product, the size preset and the part colours shown in the studio and repeated in the order confirmation email. RCV records the Design with the Order, and the confirmation email is the Customer's copy - if anything in it is wrong, the Customer should reply immediately, before printing begins.
The studio's live preview is a faithful simulation, not a photograph. Screen colours vary by device, filament colours can vary slightly between manufacturer batches, and speckled or marble-effect filaments produce a pattern that differs naturally from piece to piece. Minor variation of this kind is a characteristic of the material, not a fault.
Each Size Preset corresponds to a specific third-party product that RCV has measured and tested its Pieces against. A Piece printed to a preset will fit the product that preset names.
Choosing the correct preset is the Customer's responsibility - the studio names each one clearly. If a Piece does not fit because a different preset was needed, that is not a fault, but RCV will always try to help: contact made@rippex.co.uk.
Third-party manufacturers can change their products without notice. RCV keeps its presets current against the versions it has tested and names them accordingly.
A custom size can be entered in the studio for the graded slab bumper and the mag bumper. A custom-size Piece is made to the measurements the Customer gives, so those measurements are the Customer's responsibility: please measure twice. A custom size the studio declines as too large for RCV's printer can be discussed by emailing made@rippex.co.uk. A custom-size Order is subject to these same Terms.
A Piece is a protective and display accessory for a card holder or graded slab. It reduces the risk of damage from knocks, drops and abrasion; it is not armour, and it is not a substitute for careful handling, safe storage or insurance of valuable cards.
RCV is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any grading company or holder manufacturer whose products a Size Preset names - including PSA, Beckett, Kejer, BCW, Zion and Lovfen. Their names are used only to identify which product a Piece fits, and their trade marks belong to their owners.
Every Piece is printed to order. Orders are usually printed and posted within 5 to 7 Working Days, depending on order size. This is RCV's honest working estimate, not a guaranteed date; when an order will take materially longer, RCV will say so by email.
Orders to United Kingdom addresses are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48, one flat delivery charge per Order however much is in it. Tracked 48 usually arrives within 2 Working Days of dispatch; that is Royal Mail's service aim, not a guarantee.
Orders to addresses outside the United Kingdom are sent by Royal Mail International Tracked as a tracked small parcel, one flat delivery charge per Order at the rate shown at checkout. International delivery times vary by destination and are not guaranteed by RCV.
An Order sent outside the United Kingdom may attract customs charges, import duties or local taxes on arrival. Those are set and collected by the destination country, are the Customer's responsibility, and are not part of RCV's price.
RCV emails the Customer when the Order is dispatched, with the tracking reference when one is available. Delivery is to the address given at checkout, and giving the correct address is the Customer's responsibility - a parcel Royal Mail confirms as delivered to that address is treated as delivered. Risk in the Pieces passes to the Customer on delivery.
If a parcel goes missing in the post, contact made@rippex.co.uk and RCV will pursue it with Royal Mail and put things right with a reprint or refund where it has genuinely not arrived.
Pieces bought to be fitted to cards on a GradePrep order are printed and fitted at RCV and travel home in that order's return parcel. There is no separate dispatch and no delivery charge for them, and the delivery and risk terms for that parcel are those of the GradePrep Terms. The offer is made only on cards the GradePrep report has marked not worth grading, at the prices shown in the hub, and closes once the return parcel has been packed and weighed.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, goods made to the consumer's specification or clearly personalised are exempt from the usual 14-day right to cancel (regulation 28(1)(b)). Every MADE. Piece is made to the Customer's specification, so once printing of an Order has started, the Order cannot be cancelled for change of mind. The Customer is told this before paying, on the checkout page, and agrees to it by placing the Order.
Before printing has started, RCV will cancel an Order and refund it in full on request - email made@rippex.co.uk quoting the order reference, as soon as possible after ordering.
Nothing in this section affects the Customer's statutory rights in respect of faulty goods (section 10).
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, every Piece must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described. If a Piece arrives damaged, misprinted, in the wrong colours, in the wrong size for the preset chosen, or otherwise faulty, RCV will reprint it, replace it or refund it - the Customer's choice from the remedies the law provides.
To make a claim, email made@rippex.co.uk quoting the order reference, with photographs of the problem, within a reasonable time of delivery. Where a return is needed for a faulty Piece, RCV pays the return postage.
Minor colour or pattern variation of the kind described in section 4 is not a fault.
Pieces are printed in PLA, a rigid plant-based plastic. It is strong in normal use but does not like sustained heat: temperatures above roughly 45 °C - a parked car in summer sun, a windowsill radiator, a dishwasher - can soften or warp a Piece. Keep Pieces away from sustained heat, direct sunlight over long periods, and solvents.
Pieces are display and protection accessories for collectors, not toys. Keep them away from young children.
Damage caused by heat, misuse or modification after delivery is not a fault RCV is responsible for.
RCV emails the Customer about the Order itself: confirmation, dispatch, and - once, a few days after dispatch - an invitation to review how it went. These are part of running the Order, not marketing. RCV does not send marketing email without separate consent.
RCV processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Notice and applicable UK data protection legislation.
RCV may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when an Order is placed applies to that Order, and RCV records that version with the Order.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects the Customer's statutory rights.
RCV runs a loyalty scheme, Rippex Points. Points are earned on paid Rippex services at the rate shown in the Customer's hub at the time, and are credited once the service is complete and outside any cancellation or return period. RCV may remove points earned on an Order or service that is later refunded or cancelled.
Points can be spent only in the MADE. store, against the price of Pieces and never against postage, by a Customer signed in to their hub, at the rate shown in the hub when they are spent. Points cannot be combined with a percentage-off promotion code on the same Order.
Points have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and are not refunded as money. Points expire after 12 months in which no points are earned or spent on the account. RCV may change the earning rate, the spending rate or the scheme itself, or withdraw it, by updating the hub; a change applies to points earned or spent after it. RCV may remove points obtained through misuse of the scheme.
The hub may show the Customer a rank based on the points earned in the previous twelve months. A rank is a description, not a contract: anything described alongside it in the hub may change or be withdrawn at any time.
