Sec. 01 · What happens to your card
One complete
service.
Every card receives the full GradePrep treatment. The only thing volume changes is the price per card.
GradePrep doesn't remove dents or creases, flatten cards, or perform aggressive scratch removal or restoration. We only carry out preparation we believe is safe and appropriate for the card.

Book and send
Book online and send your cards to us. You'll be able to follow your order in your hub once it's paid for.

First inspection
Detailed inspection, covering the surface, corners, edges and centring.
- 03
Clean and re-inspect
Safe surface cleaning to remove dust, fingerprints and suitable residue where possible, then a second inspection after preparation, ensuring our assessment reflects the card's final condition.

Your results
Your Rippex Grade Recommendation, including the likely grading range and the defects most likely to affect it, plus a marked-up front-and-back card report showing each identified defect, supported by detailed photographs. Usually with you within 10 working days of your cards arriving.

The journey home
A clear call on each card: grade it, or not. A card we would not grade can come home fitted into a MADE. mag, bumper or holder from £1. And a new penny sleeve and semi-rigid holder for the trip back to you.

We show you where.
Most condition reports hand you a word. Ours hands you the card. Every defect we find is marked in the place it actually sits, front and back.

Every defect is rated light, moderate or heavy. The cards shown are an illustrative example; every real result reflects the card actually assessed. Grade recommendations are estimates based on visible condition and cannot be guaranteed. Final grades are determined solely by the grading company.

Slab removal
Already in a slab? We'll remove the card before GradePrep begins. The holder and its grade cannot be put back.

Slab Rehab
Slab Rehab polishes scratches and scuffs out of the slab itself. Most come up dramatically better, but results vary and can't be guaranteed: deep gouges and cracks won't polish out. The slab stays sealed and the card is never touched.
